Playing for a poker tournament is quite an exciting and thrilling event that can happen in your life, most especially if you are the type of poker player who already had a lot of experience in playing the game. However, realizing that you will in fact join a tournament, you may sometimes end up having shaky hands and cold feet. When you are playing online poker, there will be no other people to watch you on how you play the game. In fact, you may not know it, but there are times you are caught on TV camera's and the whole world will know how you play your game. However, if you are aware of all these, you will really end up having cold feet and nervousness will reign over you. The challenge here falls down on your preparation. You should realize that you have to be prepared physically and mentally before you step out of your home and march your way to the poker tournament event.
Poker game requires a little physical effort and more mental focus and concentration, but in the long run, this will become a physically demanding task because you have to preserve your neutral state from the start of the game until the end. This is the reason why you have to be physically prepared for a poker tournament. You have to take a lot of rest so that when the time of tournament comes, you will be as relaxed as you can and that you will have the energy to sustain good posture and neutral state. In fact, you can do some exercise and stretching a couple of hours before the game. This may sound unlikely, but it really help a lot. When are already physically prepared, the next thing you need to consider is you mental effort. You have to remain your focus on the game for you to really digest all the events that will happen in the tournament.
